In March 2024, project coordinators/managers from Crossing Borders association gathered for the preparatory meeting, eager to finalize plans for the upcoming “Bridging Cultures” initiative. The meeting was also held for participants and mentors who joined the previous project.
On the agenda were critical logistical matters to coordinate prior to launch. Travel arrangements needed confirmation, with mentors and youth traveling to participate in a collaborative training course and workshops.
Mentors, youth workers and future participants mingled, chatting animatedly about the life-changing potential of connecting local youth with recent immigrants.
As the meeting concluded, the room hummed with the excited energy of those united by a passion to bridge divides and empower youth. The coordinators left confident that through thoughtful organization and a shared spirit of service, the “Bridging Cultures” project would foster lasting bonds across differences.
